Call me old fashioned, but the bats in my house are for baseball. If anybody's in my house that shouldn't be, they're getting a severe case of lead poisoning.
Been a while since I obtained a selection of Old Blades, no scales. How to keep the edges from being trashed; how can I see the maker's marks?
One Photo says it all:
1/4" Foam-core board
Jewelry Display Insert Tray Liner 10 Slot, Flocked, Bracelet (Googlit!) or local large craft store. Should be less than $2 each, shop around!
Duco Cement

Cut trays in half lengthwise. Band saw works best but a deep coping saw would as well. Watch the fingers while sawing, surprising noises are generated!!
Cut the Foam-core to height required; in my case, 6"...7" if you are making them for scaled razors.
Place the foam-core on a flat table top (Not Varnished..glue is old tech acetone, dries fast)
Dribble glue onto all the raised surfaces of the normal top edges of tray
Carefully align and set the glued side down onto the foam core.
Place a weight ( board of similar size ) to make good joins )
Wait a few minutes and ......and.....
YSMV ( your solution may vary!)

PS, I shall make a folding cover to place over the tang ends so they done escape!
Just a quick check in! Trying a new, simpler design.. Ranger Green G10 liners on Burmese Tekewood. This is for a buddy at work. He begged me to sell him a western NY razor because he grew up right outside Olean. I hate to part with it but an Aley Bossiff I got from Tom a few months back is going in these. I need to learn to stop hoarding razors and this is a good way to start... ha! Ill post her up when she's all perty.

Razor on gents!
This is something that I absolutely LOVE about SRP and that is Members Sharing Knowledge!
Thanks for a great idea Richard!
+1 to the above.
Way better than the magnetic knife block on the wall, to avoid undue magnetization of the razors while awaiting repair..
Thanks Richard..
:tu
Meh, Mike! You just need a demagnetizer! :rofl2:
A few swipes of the spine and it would not pick up a piss-ant's crescent wrench!
