After doing the top jimping I figured I might as well decorate the spine a little since it was so pitted.

That last guy who put the copper pin in the toe end of the scales left a pretty big hole to fill:

Because I have modern adhesives I just glued them back but I figured what the heck, might as well pin it too, got that hole there already. So I put in some brass tube, and then pinned it up with some pretty stuff I had laying around, which is actually steel plated with brass, so it was not so easy to work (had to drill it out to 1/16" etc).

I don't know if I can get an edge on it because the pitting is really bad at the heel. But I was trying to make it purty because I found myself thinking of it as a 'she.' In fact, I found myself thinking of Lucinda Williams singing:
