    Default Case red imp 133

Picked this up yesterday. Paid 25$ :gasp: but it was there and it was in good enough shape. So I'm gonna do a "light restore" aka clean it make it as shiny as I CAN and hone it to what meager standards I have. Here she is Name: uploadfromtaptalk1399496900288.jpg

Not to rain on your parade, but that looks like a pretty serious chip, about one-third of the way up from the heel. Might take more than "shiny" to get a good shave from it. Nice scales.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

No I need to either hone her or have her honed. Also anyone know how to get oxidation outta plastic or Bakelite scales

Any sort of polish like Mothers and a soft cloth or paper towels should make the scales nice and shiny.
Use Q-tips slightly flattened out to clean out the gunk in between and dental floss between the tang
and scales if you're not going to unpin scales.
It looks like you didn't polish the tang, or was it originally blued ?

It has a thick patina but no rust or stains.. So I left it. I like the contrast to the polished blade. Its going to be a daily shaver.
