Well only razor work I'm doing is, getting this "Unity" honed for tomorrow's shave. Three day growth.
Bevel is set at 400grt, removed tape and about 20-40 more passes to go on the 1000grt. Then just a song and dance.
Figure 11:30 pm. Eastern time, ill be finished.Mike

I'm trying to sand the scratches out of a much abused barber hone. I think the hone is toast but it's a learning experience.
It looks much better, but I am worried about the pale patch in the center. I think I read that whitening was a sign that the binder was breaking down and it can't be fixed.

Gosh by the time I get on here there are so many pages to read by the time Im sone you guys are asleep! Long day for me, got back late had to clean work space and I finished a little shave brush...
Here is the second addition of the Liberace brush... A shorty! lol Its next to my Thiers Issard.
Also heres a pic of my 3 shorties (2 Torreys and a Henckels).
The big razor is my next project, "Manufactured For The United States by E.L. & Co." 9/8".
Its not the best looking blade, kindof a "plain Jane"... But maybe I can make it better.. It doesnt compare to other manufactures (IMO) in technological attributes or looks.
*** Please forgive the off-thread-topic pics.. Ill get right ontop of a proper salvage okay boss man? Just figured you guys could use something to joke about... hehehe ... ... ... A Shorty Liberace Brush!“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

Let's hope that! Remember, he was a kid then so he may not have been throwing them hard enough for them to explode. I know some cannon balls were solid yet some exploded on impact but it had to be a lot of impact I'm sure. If they were filled with an explosive, they weren't so sensitive that they went off if one were dropped either. Just my opinion.
