Done for the nite boys.
Unpinned, rust cut away, wire toothbrushed. Looks promising. Tomorrow is road trip day. Got a couple razors to go look at that a dealer has waitin for me (got first dibs, before he puts them out), then to a museum to get some tax papers signed, for a WWI/WWII blimp mast head I donated. ( MAPS museum in Green OH.) then to the north coast (lake erie) for a bass club meeting.

I have a blade that has the same kind of rust/ pitting as yours...... Been a slow process of sanding.
I'm curious to see what the end result is on yours when finished.
Put a bevel on it. I dig the spine. Really!
Good candidate for inducing patina and honing it up.
Half the blade would seem to be gone, otherwise?
Probably the same.
Sore hand and fingers..... And a trash can full of wore out pieces of sand paper, and my walls covered in buffing compounds. [emoji38]
I would so blue the whole thing. That! ;)
The edge of the spine will chew up a strop.
Unless I leave the tape on it.
Oh wow machine gun Mike it looks pretty bad but it might have potential. I think if you can get that rust off the spine & sides it would be okay of course. Some greaseless on a large buffer would do the spine pretty quick but the rest of it...............
