Seriously. Thanks, Guys. :) I had little help as I began in the 'Hobby'.
It is a genuine pleasure to help as I can and (hopefully) guide some to avoid my pitfalls.

With this more elaborate inlay, much more cleaning required to get the inlay track clean. Been going at it with my scribing picks as it is a small area to clean. Had to put it down, going a little crosseyed now..

I finally found the straight that I want to make a mold for & make new scales for but I forgot, it also has an inlay on it so I need to make my laser burner out of an old multi-function printer I have or a long bed scanner I have. The razor is one I showed awhile back, an Italian one. In the first pic you can also see the little rust on the toe & the third pic shows a little stab at it with my fiberglass pen. The center pic is when I opened it awhile back & I heard a snapping sound & after looking, you can see the crack I found.

Now for one I'm so thrilled about. It is an American Knife Company, Plymouth Hollow, Conn. 1849-1875. Then they changed the name of the town to Thomaston in 1875. This is one of the oldest razor manufacturer's in the USA but I think there is another one that started making them before that if I remember right. I want to think I saw one not long ago when doing some research but I'm really proud of this one. I really love it & one like this is hard to find but they're out there. It might have been made before the Civil War, who knows? The blade is a 7/8" near full wedge & the horn scales are completely intact which I'm very happy about. In the 1900's (need to get my book out) they moved the company to N.J.

I hate to unpin it but I will most likely have to in order to make it as right as I can. The blade says "DIAMOND EDGE" on it plus the scales should look really good after a good soak in some Neatsfoot oil. I just love old ones like this!!!!
I have so many irons in the fire right now, I have plenty to keep me busy................
