I was just going to say the same. I've seen a lot of 'em in jigged bone or horn.

So, Mike! I had given up on an old W&B a while back which has a wide bevel. I was on 3 layers and it was not happening.
I finally got it shaving great by going with one layer. Dulled what I had done with a few swipes of a glass bottle, slurried the old Norton 1k and got it back to sharp. Then to the Naniwa 1k onward and all went well.
I think I found that wide bevel or not, multiple layers of tape won't help some. Gotta let them be what they are?
    Just a thought!

I had a really nice little .22 lever action. It was a Marlin copy of a Winchester & it was a take down model & also had a saddle ring on it. I loved that rifle. I called it "dead eye" because it was right on the money!

Man, I had a screwed up W&B FBU that I sold to Phrank.... Needed some quick cash. But I do have a Celebrated W&B that's pretty ugly that needs some work. AAAAAAH! I don't have the time Fellers! Give me a couple months and I'll chime back in.
