Thanked: 4206That does look the twin Tom, save the notch. And in pretty nice condition while lyin in state.
Andrew, thanks for the mention on the JR it's being cleaned up during America's got talent, I don't need to look at the screen to follow along and I get quality hand sanding time in while spending time with the missez instead of in my 'dungeon' as it's now called.
I hope to have it ready for Mike's if that's still happening in Oct.
Will post the finished blade in a different thread as well.
I look forward to seeing your WB joining the thread when your plate clears a little as well. Polishing steel is as relaxing as turning stuff,, honest, hehe.
And Shawn, if the States school system is like ours, I wouldn't trust Tom's project count anyway,,lol more margin of error than a Cuban election.
On a different note, ordered my vacuum pump and canister for some wood/acrylite projects I want to try in the fall with a bag o burls I got in Kitchener. So got that moving to at a snail pace but moving none the less."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Here we go. An old Wade and Butcher with a nice regrind, stag scales busted at the top with a cool wedge end.
Scales will need to be shortened and reshaped at the pivot end. I may use this Manhattan blade as it obviously has been chipped under the barber's notch and reshaped. I don't mind reshaping one which has already been ground upon and the reworked scales will have to dictate which way I go.
Anyone know anything about Manhattan Cutlery Co of Sheffield?

Thanked: 4206That's a nice set of scales Tom. Going to need some time on the steel but that's the fun part.
Look forward to the progress."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
