I got mine through Harbor Freight for $60 and believe it or not, I use Spider Wire fishing line to cut thin material and real fine details.

Tom, if it's not one thing, it's always another. I will get out there tomorrow & start using my Formax greaseless compounds. I woke up today to some other issues I didn't expect but it never fails plus you know I'm dealing with something else. I just finally came in from doing some other things that I had to do. I try to work on my razors to keep my mind off other bs! I decided to do a Clark & Hall though. I have a good scale design in my mind.

Yeah, Steve, I know. We all have stuff coming up constantly. Take an hour once in a while and get some progress.
Before you know it, something will appear!
Clark and Hall, eh? An oldie!

MikeB52 will get off his holiday soon. Gonna let him ramrod this motley crew for a bit!

Getting the Anchor situation worked out, gonna send it out to get reground.. Will see how it turns out. That pitting is just too ugly IMHO
Today I had plenty of time broken into a hundred segments. Every time I tried to work on SR projects I just didnt get much done. Ugh! Well tomorrow I have plenty of time so Ill try to buckle down. Gotta put anchor on hold so let me see if I can dig another project up, because I need a break for 7 day set. Might just clean and oil a number of blades. Got about 40 that need attention before they can go in deep storage display cases, another 80 that are already deep storage.. But what Im doing is building display cases with humidity control for different scale types and nitrogen filled for rust prevention... no oxygen, no rust. Correct?
Well its worth a try, my wife has this expensive nitrogen sealing machine for her preserving grains and seeds that she doesnt use anymore.. Im gonna hook it up to my display cases to purge rhe oxygen from them and then have oxygen absorbers to get the rest.
    Yep Im going stir-crazy.
    Gotta hit the hay.

Tom, I'll start getting something done.........

I tried it on antler but I didn't get the results I was after, but then again I'm impatient. Might need to go back and revisit it.

    Got an idea/question!
Figured I'd bring it to this thread since MikeB52 was talking about it here.
Heated oil bath for warped horn.
I figure take a small turkey bag and the wipe the horn down with oil, then put a bit of oil in bag with horn and some metal nuts at edges to keep it submerged in water.
Never done this before. MikeB52 is this what you read?
Any of you guys try this?
