I need to weigh my options. The blade has a lot of meat. The pits are looking bad. but on the side that Ive done more, they are starting to go away. I was trying to use as little pressure as possible with the greaseless. BUT perhaps I need to switch to hand sanding.
The problem with hand sanding is that I am limited on time and that would take a week of sanding...
SO... perhaps sending it off is my best option.
I wonder who to send it to. Any suggestions? Look in the classifieds right?
Guess I could take measurements and start in on the scales while its getting reground. Hopefully dont need to take too much off..
Patience and time is all it takes.
    What you gonna die shortly.
At least the pits give it character, as long as you can set a clean bevel.
    Thats what it's about.
    Making them usable again.
I'll say it again, ugly girls need lovin too.
    Kinda like this Taylor.
She's good lookin, for her age.

On my most recent, the 7 day Klas Tornblom set, I knew the scales needed to be thin because the blades are so light weight... little sports cars they are So I shaved them down really thin, almost was a bit worried on one of the sets because I went too thin, but did a mock up and decided they ALL needed to be so thin so back to sanding!

Thats about as thin as i could go with those.
They were pretty flexible, you can see the bow in the left scale.

I'm gonna push this next set just a liitle more, if it lets me.

    LOL
    Hehehe nice!
Well I hear ya. Not gonna die too soon I hope. I just work a whole lot and have my family needing constant attention, which is good and fine. But Id like to finish it before my cheaks sag any further and my hand isnt steady enough to wipe my behind! lol
Ive got a whole lot of patience, but I do get bored with one job so bounce around to different blades.. Just wait until you see the 7 day. The sanding shaping and more sanding and polishing of the scales has taken 50+ hours and Im not done yet.. just cant stop until its perfect.

    Exactly!
Sand a little, take break, sand a little, work on scales, sand, cook dinner, sand, go to bed, sand, sand, wanna say hell with it, cause I seem to be getting nowhere, sand, damn i finally get to move up a grit.
But you still have the other side of the blade to do. [emoji26] [emoji31]
