Thanked: 4206Good lookin dog Tom! Character in a fur coat..
My razor build drawer is getting near empty and I've decided to see what I can do with this pair of twin torpedoes.
Only one had the original scales still and they weren't much to look at anyway, Cept fir the inlay so I'm going to try something different in a funky green material from mascraft.
Going to need to start lookin at razor lots again on the bay for things to keep busy on.
Cheers, and again, Happy Easter men."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I just got two bags of turquoise yesterday. I won one of them on eBay & the seller Phil Kromholz, writer of a couple razor books sold it to me with some nos collars. I wrote him & told him I have one of his books plus he is the one who sold me my huge chopper, H Birks & he replied that he found another bag of turquoise & was going to throw it in for free. There's more of it in those bags than the pics show.
I was going through some things Thursday & i found my cracked W&B FBU & another W&B that needs surgery. I still have the Barbersori & I found it also after I had misplaced it for awhile. I need to call my razor buddy down the street to come & get it to do something for me on it at his workplace. He had pawned his Lecoultre 4 day set to me about a year ago for $50 complete & I told him if he ever wanted it back, I would sell it back to him for what I gave him. He told me he was missing it so I don't have it anymore but he has it back now so I still have two 2 day sets & my 7 day set. Maybe one day, I'll get a 4 day set.

Thanked: 250As of yesterday my razor work load will be full. My cousin gave me 7 razors that he recently purchased to get shave ready for him. Not only the razors but three hones to lap and use for the job. A fourth hone is a NOS barber hone. In a way I feel like a king. Two of the hones are brand new and five of the razors appear to be NOS. I'll be posting as the work progresses so here is the first installment.
First thing last night was to completely lap a brand new 1200 grit stone that will be a good bevel setter and I started to lap a Thuringian. I ran out of WD for the Thuringian and will finish lapping it tomorrow. After lapping the 1200 I set the bevel on the first razor...... a used Jacob Wiss #2X-45. She had a couple of small rust pits on the edge that came out nicely with the new 1200. From there I built up a slurry on my coticule and finished up with water. The razor neatly tree tops arm hair and the test shave will be Tuesday when I have a two day growth of beard. I think I'm going to use leg hair for tree top testing the rest of the razors so I don't look like an idiot with bald arms.
So there you have it, my first installment for this series. I've been a coticule man all my life so if any of you have a quick tip or two for that Thuringian with slurry stone, I'm all ears.

I got this one the other day...............a long tail Henckles!
The blade has a small chip near the heel & a larger one at the toe about 1/16" high but it has a tiny horizontal crack from lower left to upper right going toward the center of the blade so it will most likely get a smile. Couldn't go wrong for $26.
