After I tried it out, it has convenient pushbuttons on the back to change directions.
Seems that may fail after a bit. Gonna lube that!
If you turn it up and hit the trigger unloaded, it wants to jump out of your hand.
    Yeah....Warranty!

There's quite a few of us ( mechanic's ) up here that have been moving towards Kobalt tools. At least I don't have to wait a week for the tool truck to roll into the parking lot, when something breaks.

Which always happens after he leaves...!!!

Standard rail steel for section weights 121 pounds and over is as follows:

    carbon 0.72-0.82%
    manganese 0.75-1.05%
    phos. max. 0.035%
    sulphur max. 0.035%
    silicon 0.10-0.35%
That's the first time that I have seen the chem analysis. Wow, pretty high carbon too.

    Regarding the John Pinette video...

"Remember when you could buy 'stuff' and walk out the door?"

I'm annoyed that way too. I gave up on shopping at Sears. I pay with cash. Tell me the total price with tax and I will pay cash. Sears had SEVEN questions that had to be slogged through every time. I decided I had better things to do with my time than shop at Sears.

I believe it was 'Larry the Cable Guy' who was doing a bit about going to buy something at Radio Shack and they wanted his name, address and telephone number and he asked the clerk "Why? Do you want to come over and watch dirty movies with me?"

That would be a great comeback to the questions.

In those situations of them wanting my info when im paying cash, i tell them "None of the above". They get the idea pretty quick.

My Snap-on 3/8 drive impact has been slacking badly the last few times i used it. I dont have m7ch use for those types of tools much any more. Pop off a tire with the 1/2" now and then. So i will remember the next time im in need of a 3/8 drive impact, to run down and buy one of those. Thanks for the info on it Tom.

This thing will do tires, no sweat. I turned it down to low.
A bolt comes out before you can release the trigger.
I went over this morning and bought the 2 year replacement warranty.
    Gonna dog this thing.

I wonder if 160 PSI is really necessary with modern stuff.
    It was back when!
Lets see how this Chinese wonder holds-up?
    We got 2 years!

No kidding, Tim. I am used to the bolt coming out. Just not used to it being thrown at me.
Perhaps a different trigger finger. Like a stiff accelerator, by the time you get it triggered, you accelerate it twofold before you can let go. Read the manual (imagine that!)
Seems it has 4 speeds forward and 1 in reverse. I take it reverse would be full-tilt?
    Love it!

I can't say about speeds but acorrding to the manual Reverse has the highest torque.
