With a set that has varying lengths yet the same blade widths, you can make the wedge end and pivot end pieces.
Once you have those, pin them on a piece of thick paper that is ontop of a cork board (or equivalent).. at the correct length for the blade you are working on.
Now proceed to draw the connecting lines, creating the scale length you need.
This may be a good way to help make a very close pattern, simply longer or shorter.
I like to use random household objects with the right curves, also a compass drawing tool is a big help.
I was going to a different extreme and thinking of an aluminum pattern with an adjustable center piece for different lengths.

Now how could you make that work?

Lol! To make that work, you’d best be making more than 7 lol! It sure would be cool though.

I’ve got a butt-load of brass, so I’ll make it out of brass and simply sand down the end to fit it to size.

Lol man that went through my head for a minute, but then my British uncle's voice chimed in telling me to stop Germanificating things!

My family tree is about 1/2 German.

Another random thought is if you are going to use liners you could do a 3 piece outer scale with a center stripe say 1/4 inch wide for example. Make your pattern the longest for the main piece and then just cut out a little larger section in the middle than the 1/4 inch to make it shorter.

But I’m not sure being 4/8 scales are so much more thin. That and my blades aren’t textured.

Either way... you got to love the scales! Man. But on a 4/8?

I stick with fixing the original scales, if possible. That is, if the repair looks like shite, and can't be blended or dyed, then their replaced.

Have you thought about, as JP5 call's it, Mike-arta.?

A fiberglass and epoxy liner, built too the scales.

Two layers on each scale, so thin its hardly noticeable. Stops any cracking, and adds strength to Ivory.

Ivory is particular to the Swede razors, how could you not want to save the originals.

Indeed! Seems, however the same type of texturing has been done on G-10.
Oh well.....I don't make scales. I know nothing!

They do it a lot with the multicolored G-10. No question. Especially on knives. Very grippy.

Thanks for all the help gents. I pretty excited, in spite of the fact that I still don’t quite know what I’m going to do with respect to shape and style, I’ve got an order of supplies coming in anyway.

I figure once this and a few other things I ordered arrive (mostly washers), I’ll simply look at it all and have an epiphany... or a meltdown. You know, whatever.
