Just under the wire but you made it. Bill's CD is great and you should also read the archive of the threads here. They are a good complement to the information on the CD.
Bill's CD has a wealth of information. A master like Bill makes it sound so fast, simple, easy and with gorgeous results at the end.
Like everything else it takes experience and the first attempt will be anything else but that, which can be somewhat discouraging. So for beginners like us it is helpful to see someone else struggle with their baby steps too. I know it helped me feel a bit better about my "experiments" and motivated me to keep trying.

Thanked: 0Hey Vlad, just curious, did you actually sell that violin razor on ebay yet? I was wondering how much it went for and if you had considered making another or whether it was a one time thing? I've got a cousin that I've been talking to about straight razor shaving and he also plays violin. Just thought he might like something like you made!

Yes, the violin sold. It went to Bill Ellis for $150 and I will be shipping it to him today. Thanks Bill.
Being the first of its kind, the violin scaled razor on e-bay was regarded as a curiosity with most people not knowing what to make of the value. I put it on e-bay and I set the reserve low, as far as I was concerned, to see what would happen and to give the idea some exposure.
If this ever catches on and my scales become popular then that violin will be the absolute first of its kind, a #1 issue so to speak. Who knows, maybe down the road Bill will be regarded by his great-grandchildren as having made a wise investment .
Yes, I will be making more theme scales. I am going to build up a portfolio of several themes. I think that once it becomes more widely known that custom themes are available more people will opt out for them as gifts or collectables. They are hand made and is absolutely unique. I want to offer custom scales made to order from a picture of a favorite object.
PM me if you are interested in another set of the violin scales and if your cousin has a favourite violin a front picture would suffice.

Hey Vlad,
Maybe I missed it, but when and how do you want to get paid? If it's helpful, I can pay now as you are gathering everything together.

I will PM everyone asking for their e-mails so I can Paypal the invoice. I will only do that when I receive the goods and confirm that everything is working fine. I don't foresee problems but want to make sure that there are no surprises with the PSA adhesive backing and the punching process.
I think I should have all the stuff together and ready to go next week. Keith shipped today and it will take 5-10 days. Usually takes about a week.
Everything is lined up: plastic boxes, shipping boxes and rotary punch. All I am waiting for is the supplies .
