Sir I beg your pardon my only point was to explain how the microtome was made physically. Nothing else. The other part was just say(bad choice of words) the subject was still being read by highly motivated honers, not the average person. A good thing.

Honing is forbidden in my workplace. So is surfing the net. I have done both - just not today.
