    LM is easily at least 12000 grit, maybe up to 15K, judging from the edges as viewed under 200X microscope, IMHO.

    I rehoned my razor on my Naniwa's 3,5,8,12 then DT/LM. 2 Passes to an extremely close shave. Only a hint of irritation. Less than then last shave. Again only a tiny bit. Very sharp. Im very pleased with this purchase.

    I just realized the irritation is on my jaw with is usualy where i have a little. Stubborn hair growth pattern there.

    I just honed an extra hollow on a Coticule, then 50 laps on the LM with water.....................Holy Cow!! This blade got so sharp and smooth it almost scared me!! A personal best.

    So you skipped the DT and went right to thee LM?
