Just did the DT test (50 laps DT water only, straight to face), same brush and cream as the 8k test. The shave was perceptively smoother than the 8k shave, it also felt slightly sharper. I did the 20 dry off laps on leather after the shave.

Considering I always do 30 linen/50 leather laps before my everyday shave, this one was pretty good straight off the hone.

On to the LM and I'll wait till you guys catch up to me before I shave again, and I'll be waiting to find out how many laps to do on the LM.

I shaved with the W&B off the DT. Sweet shave. 2 passes. Very close shave. Huge jump in performance from the 8k. Very sharp an I am really impressed so far.

ok just finished the shave. ogallala bay rum and lemon grass soap the after shave ogallala bay rum limes & peppercorns. the seller was right in his grit guesstimating was on ,i would say my DT is some where in the 9-10k mark. i notice a big jump in sharppness. i was a little disappointed in the shave but that was my fault i got the scuttle way to hot and the suds kept drying out leaving me with some razor burn on my neck . the lap count on the DT mite have been a little high the jump from 8k norton to 8k-10k DT. the LM which is suppose to be 12-15k i was thinking about 75 laps now i'm thinking 50 laps going from a DT (8-10k) to the LM (12-15k) on water . what do you guy think ?
