I think it's DT for test one, then LM (aka JHLM!) for test two.

ok Lets find out from Craig. He feel there wont be much diff from the DT. I just did 50 on the DT and the edge is noticably sharper.

test shave the DT first wait two days and test shave the LM . LM on water ,no slurry on that stone while honing. i just finished lapping both of my stone's with the slurry stone. as for the lap count on the LM let see how the shave test go's on the DT first . then we will put our head's together on the lap count on the LM !

how was the lapping on your DT hone(with the dmt ) rene/rodb i notice that my DT is softer then my I.J DT and my LM took almost twice the amount of time to lap, as to say my DT is a softer stone.

This is my only DT and it was easily the softest one of the three.

My DMT is worn out so i use W/D sandpaper. The DT is softer but the LM only took maybeless than ten min to get the surface smooth.

I hone my other razor, The JR on both stones. DT and LM. I did circles and 50 x with it on the DT and just 40 x on the LM. Hard stone for sure. I wont test shave with this one till after we finish this test.

ok that sound's great rene. when this test is said and done i'll also do a head to head comparison on my DT and my I.J DT. its said to be if the DT is a darker stone its usually a finer stone around the 10k mark ,well my softer DT is the darker one too my I.J DT is lighter but harder just wondering which will be finer ?

That would be interesting to see your 2 DT in a shave off.
