I am watching this thread closely, as I put in an order for his 3-stone
set the other day and can't wait to test them. The accuracy of the
procedures used is very informative. Will love to hear your findings!

I just got my 3 hone set today, they came nearly perfectly flat but had fairly deep lapping scratches, they came out easily with 220 wet/dry sandpaper.

That is a debatable statement I think, there is natural combination BBW/Coticule, so gluing the two together is naturally acceptable.
The case of the OP is different, but if I understand correctly the combo was created before purchase?

Yes it was and its only about the wording used not naturally a combo but two natural stones glued together.

After more lapping I can say the the DT is the softest and the Mystery is the hardest. They all have good feedback, the DT and LM sort of like a Coticule and the MH sort of like a C12k with slightly more feedback. They all slurry fairly easy with their respective slurry stone

once everyone test shaves off the 8k and it's a good shave we can move on to the dt i would suggest 50 laps on the dt what do you guys think ? also if the 8k test shave isnt a good one and some one needs to add laps on the 8k let us know so we can adjust our 8k laps to match in order to go on to the dt with equal laps

DT plain water, no slurry? Just so I'm correct with this.

yes no slurry the dt is around 6k to 8k some of the very dark one's maybe around 10k using slurry will lower the the grit rating i think our dt will be close to the 8k mark
