Thanked: 433Circles, 1/2 x-strokes, reg x-strokes on the 1k with pressure (whatever it takes). Less pressure on 4k mostly reg x-strokes, no pressure 8k with 90% x-strokes. Above that it's pretty stone dependent

on the 1k to each his own on the 4k 8k DT LM we have to have counted laps i think on these stone's 4k and up we should do reg stroke and x strokes so the lap can be counted any thoughts?

ok today let see if we can get the bevel's started today this is the most important part of the process make sure the razor will pop arm hair above skin level when pulling the razor agaist your arm hair it should grab the hair all the way across the razor and if pulled any more should pop the hair lets take our time on this no rush we will move on the the next stone once every one is finished on the 1k happy honing gent's

Thanked: 48interesting i have a few stones from what i believe to be the same source. the state stone i havent done that much with but the mystery white stones he sells works wonders i have never got it to slury with the slury stone but with my dmt it will .mostly i use linde A lapidary powder to make my slury and it puts a very high polish to my edge.i dont know what kind of stone this is looks like marble to me but its harder than any marble i have been in contact with, softer than a arkansas.

I'm looking forward to hear a review on lyn melynynlyns whetstones. I have really wanted one lately but put it off because the shipping costs as much as the stone. So a few reviews may nudge me to get one depending on what you guys find.

I was able to get some honing done tonight. I also added a razor to the test. The W&B is following the test with counting the x strokes. The Joseph Rodgers i will be doing my usual way with circles and x strokes. Both are finished up to the 8k norton. I will post how many passes after you guys have done yours. I dont want to influence how many you will be doing.
