I saw the 3 stone set on the bay recently with the same seller (I think)
Went a different way in the end, though it looked like a fair price
I was not willing to pay the money for something I had no idea if it's any good
I have heard this seller has a fairly good name with some members,
This has the feel of a good experiment
As long as a standard lapping set up is agreed on in principle
For example - all 3 honers start with a Full Hollow ground razor in Sheffield steel
At least then there is a chance of some consistency in the test
I believe it will be very difficult to keep each person on a set number of laps for each hone
Perhaps after bevel setting is right. each tester reports how many laps to get to each level on the hones
What slurry is used, was it diluted to water, how many laps before and after
And of course the shave test for the tell all
I will be following this thread with lots of interest
Have fun guys
Rick
