Are you sure it was not damaged in transit? Was it boxed and well padded and not just sent in a bubble envelope? Was the shipment sent via priority mail? If so it automatically has $50 of damage or loss coverage.
If it was damaged in transit you need to require that he return the original packaging so you can verify transit damage. For
a straight to have the damage he described to you the packaging damage would be obvious.
Edited to add: Your ebay ad clearly states a full refund if customer is not satisfied. You need to get away from that language in the future. You owe him a full refund when he returns the razor to you.Last edited by lz6; 10-07-2013 at 10:31 PM.

Thanked: 481It was rolled in bubble wrap, and boxed in a flat rate Priority. His photos show the box too, and it looks undamaged.

Your refund offer does not offer you any option but to refund on return of the goods. Your buyer is not satisfied and the reason why is irrelevant in this case. The buyer has you cold and ebay will
not support any claim you may wish to make.
Change your refund guarantee or remove it entirely.Bob

Yes, you might have a small recourse with the post office if you sent it Priority. Ask the seller to send pics of the original box as well as the whole razor and damage to it. Then ask him to send it back along with the original packaging. If you sent it in a priority box, it should be smashed to cause that damage. The razor looks solid in the listing.
Something went wrong, IMO. The guy has bought from you before with no apparant problem, so give him the benefit of the doubt. You do not have to issue refund until you get the razor and the original packaging back. I suppose it will be a good thing if the blade was not damaged and as Oz noted, you can always rescale it! Good Luck! Oh, After seeing the damage, I would be pissed too. Curious, does he want a partial refund?Last edited by sharptonn; 10-07-2013 at 11:41 PM.
