Yes, you might have a small recourse with the post office if you sent it Priority. Ask the seller to send pics of the original box as well as the whole razor and damage to it. Then ask him to send it back along with the original packaging. If you sent it in a priority box, it should be smashed to cause that damage. The razor looks solid in the listing.
Something went wrong, IMO. The guy has bought from you before with no apparant problem, so give him the benefit of the doubt. You do not have to issue refund until you get the razor and the original packaging back. I suppose it will be a good thing if the blade was not damaged and as Oz noted, you can always rescale it! Good Luck! Oh, After seeing the damage, I would be pissed too. Curious, does he want a partial refund?Last edited by sharptonn; 10-07-2013 at 11:41 PM.

My bad. Just saw your feedback that you had sold a friodur, different one!
I feel in my gut he tried to tighten the pivot with bad results. It is not cracked, it is smashed! Look at the green patina around the untouched top pin inside the collar in the listing.
Now look at the difference in the diameter of the pin in relation to the collar in both pics.
That patina will go with the first two licks of a hammer. The pin is swollen considerably more in the damaged pic. Could be wrong. JMO
Just give him his money back upon recieving the razor back. Hopefully, he has not tried to hone it too!Last edited by sharptonn; 10-08-2013 at 12:32 AM.

I feel you're getting the wrong end of the stick on this one.
You have a 100% rating and I'm guessing that is important to you. eBay can be a pain in the butt at times. Your listing offered 100% Guarantee and a refund if not satisified. Best thing you can do now is suck it up. Have the buyer return everything FIRST then refund him. I would not be inclined to offer a discount if he requests it and he very well may due to the requested phone call vs in writing stored on eBay.
You can eaisly rescale the razor and sell it again. Remember to get a credit from eBay and Paypal for the broken trade.
I would rrecommend removing the 100% Guarantee and refund stuff from your listing. Encourage buyers to ask questions etc but sales are final. Use insurance when mailing razors in case there is a claim.
