Yep, my thoughts exactly but they would do it to that razor. They had to have a very true running machine with a wheel that didn't have any runout in order to grind those slots in it w/o chipping the blade.

You're so right. Eye protection is a given but I have known some brave people. After getting something in my eye before, I prefer eye protection & it wasn't from a grinder. It was rust from an exhaust system when working under a car. Rust is one thing you don't want in your eye.

But the other side is MAYBE 10% rusty. What are the odds that the scales are celluloid?

Maybe the older cutlers made wedges so even blades that looked like this could still be fixed.

This is more a be cautious when you get into a bid war post.

    https://www.ebay.com/bfl/viewbids/20...p2047675.l2565

    Bidding Details

Guy has 41 retractions in 6 months with 56% of his bids being with this seller... Once I saw that I bailed immediately on any further bidding... Bidders like that need to be blocked to retain confidence in an ethical listing imo..

Kudos to whoever stopped engaging that bidder... IDK how ebay allows that... What is the excuse for 41 retractions in 6 months, the world's most dyslexic ebayer??

It almost seems like someone close to this particular seller helps him out to raise the bar on all his merchandise, always retracting if he's the one actually winning. Just saying...

Well, he blew it this time because the guy he was fighting with didn't take the bait. If he is doing that he should just be a man and put up bin listings...

    What!?
Have you reported this? I don't usually check bidder history on items and I actually bought a razor from itsakiller a few years ago.

Thanks for the heads up. As someone else said this may be the sellers way of getting more for his items, especially since most razors aren't bringing much now.
