I didn't but feel free... It's total bull.. You would think their algorithm would catch this but it is more worried trying to deduce if you are trying to smuggle contact info to ppl...

Shill bidding! When eBay finds out this is going on, they will take action.

I'm not sure eBay cares very much: the higher the winning bid - the higher their commissions...

True! that's why they let these sellers with tons of negative feedback each month stay on. They are more into the money than to have good sellers. They do warn people about shill bidding but maybe it's because they have to make themselves look good.

Yeah but if enough ppl catch on it will destroy bidder confidence and damage revenue

    Bidding Details
Although the auction is over, I reported the item. If you guys report other items from this seller where it looks like shilling is taking place it is more likely they will do something about it.

Ebay doesn't care about shill bidding. I had a bid on a Jnat from a russian seller and was below the winning bid. While sitting eating lunch I got an email that I won the auction, surprised I looked and saw that the leading bidder was cancelled. I started following the guys auctions and you could immediately see the pattern, 2 bidders running the bids and then being cancelled a minute or so before the auction ended. I called Ebay and they said it's difficult to prove, we are investigating, dont pay. Few days later I get an email saying, you didnt pay for your item. When I called I was told I won the item and should pay for it otherwise I would be violating the rules
I eventually wrote a bad review and the guy returned my money.

I doubt they care, they are apart of a big business. If enough people complain then maybe something will be done about it.
I can guarantee you doing nothing will not improve things though.
