Ooooh...I need one of them jawline razors!! LOL :P
OK, here's a good one. Listed as "RARE FRIEDR.HERDER ABR.SOHN SOLINGEN GERMANY Straight Razor 172 Razor Blank", seller states that this item is **NEW OLD STOCK** Never Used. RARE Friedr Herder ABR Sohn Solingen Germany Straight Razor 172 Razor Blank | eBay
Actually, that is a blank and was never finished. If it is hardened already it will make a great razor when finished. A good buy. If not a good smith can harden it for about the same cost as buying it.
I've made a couple razors from them. They are WWII blanks from a bombed out factory and Smokey Mountain used to sell them.

Hmm, OK, but the spine still looks (as a friend of mine said) "Like someone built a doghouse and used this razor as the hammer". lol
The etching appears brand new, compared to the bllade?
It is firescale and the blank is only a previously press stamped blank.

PS. Do as you will and let the Shame continue!
It would appear that one is not quite a razor yet. Still has work to be done on it before it is even ready to be honed. It could be called "a razor shaped object made out of quality steel. Some finishing, middle-ing, and assembly required." With the right tools and skills, it would shave nice.
I hope you take the time to watch this very informative video. It is in German but it's Very Easy to see what's going on--Start--to--Finish!

Asking price of $62.66. The seller says, "please use ebay zoom function to see ALL of my pictures for the exact condition"
Lol. Thanks, but the zoom function isn't really necessary in this instance.
That is the factory method.
I made the red scaled one with the little 3" wheel WEN/Craftsman/Porter Cable/other mfg.'s wet grinder and a lot of hand work and a Dremel. Not quick but she came out well!

Or there is always this vintage "Boker" for sale, lol. Straight Razor Boker Blade for Parts | eBay
for parts? what parts are there that are usable. Yes and two bids. Also it says Boker, this one is more than confusing!
Are these people really that stupid or are they just poking fun at collectors?
Looking for easy money!
"wesome! This is a vintage razor knife. It says Made In England For Kern. I thought that was absolutely remarkable. The knife needs cleaned up a bit. It has a notched blade right in the center instead of on the end. If you look closely at the pictures of the blade, there are two very small nicks in the blade. I do not know if those are supposed to be there or not. This knife is very, very sharp. Handle with care. Please feel confident in bidding and good luck!"

If your going to lie, why not say its from a Roman Soldier 100AD they were known to use the Eagle emblem to identify Rome and Italy. You have truly found the bottom of the barrel with that story. Easily made shave ready in just a half hour watch history come to life and experience how a Roman soldier stayed clean shaven and fit for duty. Incredulous

Selling a razor they KNOW is cracked, on top of that, coming onto our forum and lying about it! http://straightrazorpalace.com/aucti...ca-ebay-2.html
SHAME ON THEM!
But wait it gets better. I contacted him asking this
Dear ultrasoundguy2003,
Sorry, I just got home from work. There are no chips in the blade that I can see, there is a little tarnish and that could be what you see. Yes, the blade is in good shape as far as I can see. Thanks for looking.

Dear hotrodbullrider_1,
There appears to be a chip on the blade, is that real? Or is it just camera angle?
The blade is otherwise in good shape??
Thanks in advance

He got the boot off of the forum too!
To be fair, this is more like the "Wall of Chuckles" thread as i suspect nobody on here has had the misfortune of dealing with some of these sellers. With that said, I am waiting for one of these chipped all to hell razors to be listed for $12000 because it is the actual razor used by Bugs Bunny to hack at Elmer Fudd's fruit salad covered skull in " The Rabbit of Seville." :rofl2:
