Under the right circumstances, that is a completely logical thing to do. I bought a razor at an antique mall to teach myself restoration & such. The scales were an obvious homemade set of unknown material somewhere between plastic, wood, and stabilized cardboard (if there is such a thing). I was still educating myself, and after more research on the ERN blade, I figured out that another razor for sale in the same booth had the scales that belonged to the ERN. So a couple weeks later, I went back & bought a blade from a reputable maker & a chip in it that was 0.7-1.0mm, and the wrong scales.

I did, however, pass on the SR that had bakelite (supposedly) scales of the artsy naked lady variety, with a blade that had rust eating its way out of whatever metal it was plated with.

Whahahaha, it's not even worth paying for the shipping.
    Ther's almost no razor left.

But in all fairness, if a razor is an instrument being used, instead of collected, this one has given all she had.

Someone from this forum trying their luck on a Wade & Butcher... Even using Glen (gssixgun) as part of the description.

I wanna say shame on them, then I think good luck to them! But then I really think shame on them, making the most of us out to be pilferers of low quality razors at high prices.

On another note, if you want really high quality razors at *reasonable* prices (reasonable in that they are all high quality, so you pay a bit more check these out ----> rspe7027 Always top quality razors from this eBayer but not a user of this forum he informed me.
Sold for $175. The buyer was happy with the price. As it was restored by a professional he knew the razor he saw in the pictures was the best it would ever look (it actually looks better in real life than in the photos - I didn't play with the lighting or angles - it was very much a what you see is what you get listing)... he knew what he was getting for the price... and would shave well as it was honed by someone who knew how to hone a razor. 'nough said.
