You need heart surg? your put on a 6 mos waiting list to be treated, that list has a 50% mortality rate, better dead than get in the red
Agreed - our system has it's faults, and those with the cash can and do go to private clinics in the US and abroad, and that's a great option that those with money have, and it takes the burden off the system for those who can't pay.

In line with your statement, you may be on a waiting list in Canada, and the list is prioritized, it's not just based on who is next in line, in the US, no cash, no health plan, you're dead...red, white, or blue.

I call BS on the better dead than get in the red.

A friend of mine went to the local hospital, was diagnosed as needing open heart surgery and was flown to Hamilton by air ambulance, about 1.5 hr flight, within days of diagnosis. Had a successful surgery and was flown home commercial airline after recovering. He had virtually no,none, nadda out of pocket expenses. Our health care system has flaws as do all health care systems but it is nowhere near as bad as made out by some people in the USA. No matter how "bad" our system is, it is still better than getting squat because you have no private health care coverage and can't afford to have the surgery done in the first place.

I think it is a volume issue. We do not have enough traffic to be able to get good rates.
Volume might be the problem. Still, that seems pretty ridiculous. If the seller hadn't misrepresented the item, I would feel pretty bad for him losing so much money on the return.

Oh yeah, I remember one of the straight razor sellers having some interesting men's 'under britches' in their store. Now I'm reminded of Jeff Foxworthy's bit on 'men's lingerie' and fashion.

I am going to do the adult thing and remove my last comment because we are all gentleman here. This is a thread about an EBay issue, not health care systems.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that this is a thread about an ebay issue and not healthcare systems. The healthcare system should not have been brought up in the first place. If you don't want trouble don't go looking for it. Not being a gentleman, I'll let my comment stand.
