Nothing personal OLD_SCHOOL but I have done enough selling on ebay to know that you can't be held responsible for some jerk with 0 feedback or whatever closing the auction with a buy it now and no intention of paying. I have never bought from altima but I know a lot of forum members have and none have complained that I am aware of. I don't think a guy with 3K+ positive feedback (100%) is a suspect seller. Just IMHO.
As far as Ducks go. the only thing I don't like about them is that they don't have jimps. I have a number of them and they live up to their reputation as being good shavers. I can say I wouldn't pay that much for one .... because I have 'em.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Absolutely, It's really suspicious...I bet if we try hard enough, we can this razor charged with the Kennedy Assasination. Oh No, it's the razor from the Grassy Knool.....
Sorry I couldn't resist.....Who cares anyway....I think the whole Ebay system is full a crooks and thieves. Present company excluded, not you Jimmy or OS...You guys are cool
Your much better off buying from a reputable vendor, SRD, Vintage, Classic, Etc...I just bought a really nice Black Bismarck from Don and Lynn, Man, That's one sweet shaver....I don't know why they don't get the props they deserve..Ducks are cool too, Someone once said on this forum, "A razor is worth whatever someone is willing to pay" No matter how crazy they are....Last edited by zib; 05-24-2009 at 01:12 AM.

Thanked: 317If the buyer and seller had reached an agreement on price outside of ebay, it's probably that the seller would have insisted on reposting the item with a "buy it now" for the agreed upon price. Arranging and completing the sale outside of ebay after the failed auction would be a violation of the bay T.O.S. and any reputable seller would know that, and avoid it. So, there's no big mistery about the $400 re-list.
Also, somebody mentioned the seller getting stuck with the ebay fees on a $1k transaction. That's not likely.
If an auction fails to go through because of some knuckle-head putting a $4,000 bid on a $300-$400 item and refuses to pay it, ebay will not charge you, and they will let you re-list at either a reduced listing fee or free. (I forget which)
