Boker "Good as Gold"
It is a shame what these scales have done to this blade.
At least he never cleaned it polished it... his car is probably the same way.Be just and fear not.

All that needs is a good honing, about 1/4 inch of it.

scales are better thatn the blade
It makes me sad when I see razors like this.... especially when there is a bid on them and the scales are heavily worn which might have been the only reason to bid on this one. The seller is basically honest about the blade condition though I though there were 3 cracks not 2.
enjoy,

Here's one that shows one must beware the completely inaccurate item description. I do not know whether this seller is genuinely ignorant of what makes a razor in "great condition" or is being intentionally disingenuous, but it is worth noting that just because a seller says something is good doesn't necessarily mean that it is.
Item # 350846321287
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I think they just put the Barber's Notch in the wrong place.

Irresistible "This is a very unique, hard to find straight razor! Manufactured by Henry Sears & Sons, the blade reads "64 ". Great razor, that comes with a box for the razor!! This is a great vintage piece, with a unique shape to the blade and interesting handle." (My bold)

Thanked: 1184Unique shape ? Are they talking about the stadium wave in the back 1/3 of the blade or the chicane down by the chip in the bevel ? Love the exhaust ports in the scales .
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I had to look that one up. The description is almost as good. I be the guys nose was growing an inch a minute when he wrote it.
"This razor is in fair condition overall. As you can see in the photos the blade is not straight across. We are not experts on straight razors, we do not know if it has been ground down or if it was made this way. I don't see any grind marks on it and it is still sharp. Blade does have some small rust spots and some tarnish, could probably be cleaned up a little better than it is now, we did not spend alot of time polishing on it. Handle appears to be in good conditon, I see no cracks or chips. Assuming this razor is a Wade & Butcher based on the fact that it has the signature bow emblem that you can see in the 3rd photo."
