Did I make a newbie mistake or is this blade going to be OK?

Thanks, here is another view. Im not sure of the redish discoloration if it is flash from the camera. Its not visible in the other shots.

That almost looks like what happens when steel has a coating of nickel or chrome and starts to flake off, but I am hoping it is just tarnish. Hard to tell without a close up. Either way I think that razor should be quite usable.

Thanks to both syslight and JSmith 1983 for taking time to look at that for me. I'd read good things about the sears sta-sharp razors and got worried I may have made a mistake with this purchase.

    Thanks,

    Joe

I'll bet that this is the case here and that the razor should be fine and take a great edge

Just grabbed this as a BIN for $120, 7/8 Wade and Butcher Celebrated Hollow, looks all original, even comes with the original coffin box, looks like it needs a good cleaning and a honing. How's it look? Any alarm bells I didn't see? Thanks as always!!
