This has got to be one of the worst/best examples of cell rot. I guess you could buy it for the brass bolsters, but even they are rotting.

I have learned my lesson about dealing with new sellers. A guy listed a lot of razors, I checked his account and he only had 3 feedback, but positive. Two weeks later and no razors, I check the account again and 7 negatives have been added. Now I'm waiting for my refund to grind through the system.

Unless there's a crack that one doesn't actually look that bad. I'd bet the pitting doesn't go too far down into the steel.

I would be worried about how deep that rust goes at the edge. If it's deep, you might have to remove quite a bit to get to good steel. Not worth the risk IMHO.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

+1 with Kris. That black rust at the edge would concern me too!

Here's a good thread by Glen, gssixgun on buying a razor and it covers rust also. http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...tml#post736914

Vintage Antique H Boker Ontario J Saffa Straight Razors and Mismatch Cases | eBay
These look like very interesting razors, with the marks on the tangs, and the etch on the blades. But conspicuously images of 2 of the blades are missing....
If I were to bid on these, it would be for the price of the one blade I could see.Name: $_57 (1).jpg
