Was looking at some razors and noticed this one. Looks nice, but for what I am thinking is a crack. Anyone else see it?

If you are talking about the line at the toe that runs parallel to the spine that is usually corrosion caused by the blade contacting the scales at the toe, and not a crack.

Have to agree. That line is way up into meat of the blade where its not likely to be a crack.

I was looking at the heel - on the pile side pic, looks like there might be a short vertical crack there.

What I was seeing was near the heel also. Just thought I would post it cause it is things like that that I look out for when buying razors on Ebay. A camera can hide alot of stuff. I could just be a reflection or bad angle, but not something I would take a chance on "anymore" Well it sold so I am hoping it isn't a crack and someone isn't disappointed.

I am new to the world of straights. From the beginning I didn't consider anything other then new razors. Seeing the pictures and reading the comments I believe justify my decision. Once I get further into this journey I may reevaluate my position but for now I will stick with new blades.

Yes - there's no rush in this journey, stick with what you know at first. I felt the same way, Thiers-Issard, Dovo and Revisor was where I stayed for about 3-4 months.

Now, chances are slim to none I'd buy anything other than a vintage/antique blade - hands down.
