Great advice shikano53, I know I bought a lot of rubbish when starting out. Part of the learning curve I guess.

That's it. I asked the seller to check it, she'd thought it was a scratch.

Looks like it's a tiny bit too low to turn into a barber's notch, for my taste anyway. Could easily amputate that toe and reshape it though.

To get off topic a bit, I joined E-Bay after I joined up here, my younger brother gave me the Straight razor bug. But one thing that I do is research the razor I'M thinking on bidding on and am always asking the question "What is the width of the razor?" I like a 6/8ths myself. The Library here is very useful in researching '' (I like my razors around a 100 yrs. old or older) I went a little nuts at first with RAD now I'm buying just 2 OLd name brand razors, and am sending my brother about a half dozen I bought when RAD had a hold on me to resell or he can keep and use them. I've been lucky in that so far folks (sellers) have answered all my questions.

I was bidding on a Boker and in the pics it appeared it had a crack in the edge. I asked the seller if it was cracked. They said it was a reflection from something in the background and that they weren't good at taking pics. Needless to say when I got the razor..... it indeed had a crack in it. I ran my thumb nail down the edge and then it cracked! Was a not so fun time getting a return. I did get a full refund..... But yes....ALWAYS ask questions .
Is it over there or over yonder?
