Stick with it brother. It'll take a while. You'll be glad you did.

    Straights are all I have,

I just started using a Straight, but I shave with it every day. Such an enjoyable experience. A bit of sandalwood or lavender oil in a hot towel makes it super relaxing. I'm hooked!

When I travel, I use a DE. When I am at home I use a SR. For the most part, I shave everyday. I might skip a couple days a month.

SR every day. On the occasional weekend I don't, I am really off my game for the entire day.
When travelling, I use a shavette -- when at home I use a regular straight.

    If I'm not traveling I use a SR 19/20 - the 1/20 is a DE or Cobra
Long or repeat trips its a Feather SS, short ones its the M3
I have started using the Feather DX for my "quick" weekday shave just because of the lower prep/maintenance time.

But the day is always better when it starts with a Straight Razor...eh?

I shave most days with a straight razor. Sometimes it isn't really all that necessary but it is a routine. If my razor is crazy sharp I can get 48 to 72 hours without a shadow. I have been curious about DE but for the most part they scare the pants off of me.
