Thread: Do You Shave Everyday With A Straight

I shave everyday. I'm up to 2 SRs and 8 Safety razors (DEs and SEs) My rotation is SR#1, SR#2, Safety#1. SR#1, SR#2, Safety#2, etc. Every once in a while I will have to shave in a big hurry, so I use a safety razor out of turn. I want to avoid taking a strop on trips, so if I'm gone more than 1 day, I take a safety razor. This weekend's Ashville meet-up will be an exception to that rule, of course.

7 days a week with a straight razor

I usually do DE mostly with a straight shave thrown in twice a week. I alternate because I'm shaving both head and face.

Shave my head with a DE every few days.
Most commonly shave my face with a straights after honing them. Varies daily to weekly.

I've grown to enjoy my morning routine so much over the past few months that I don't skip a day EVER, under any circumstances (including travel, but that's pretty minimal as a college student). I imagine that in the future when there are little mini-me's running around the house I'll enjoy the quiet me-time even more.

I shave almost every day. I only use a DE sometimes when travelling, or rushed in the morning, which is rare.

I shave every day - always a DE for my head, alternate between straight and DE for my face, depending on how much time I have. I have a thick beard. It can take 20 minutes to get it right with a straight. A Gillette Fat-Boy with a feather isn't bad in a rush.

I am the same shave with a DE for yonks with no problems started with a straight and now hack myself to bits with the DE? go figure
