The 7/8's Ralph Aust are sold out at SRD but there's two Thiers-Issard 7/8's still in stock. One or both would make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Thanked: 2Make sure that you send your boyfriend to this forum after he opens his awesome gift. These guys have tons of great information to help him get the most out of his straight shaveing experience.

By the way, I'm another vote for calling Straight Razor Designs. That's where I got my first razor and all the needed accessories (kit). Razor was perfectly shave ready and the accessories were perfect. Customer service and shipping were excellent as well.

SRD sold out?? Oh no, not good but.....
There is another quality vendor who for whatever the reason always seems to have a substantial inventory, even right now. I have dealt with this outfit on many occasions and can vouch for them. They are in the same league as SRD. I am not sure it is within forum criteria to post their name here, but if you send me a PM I can give you the necessary information.
They have in stock right now a healthy selection of Bokers (which are right up there with Ralf Aust as one of the best production razors made today), Dovo, and a custom maker from Carthage, MO, Bell & Hat (which look really nice..I have no first hand experience with B&H, maybe someone on the forum does). They sure do look pretty good here http://www.bellandhat.com/
Lots of brushes and other stuff too.....Last edited by Phoenix51; 12-04-2014 at 01:25 PM.

Thanked: 1587Don't forget to make sure the brush is for the correct hand. I bought a left-handed one once (I'm right-handed) and it was useless. Had to give it away.
