If he doesn't have a good brush you could go for one of the thater brushes from them. Not sure what creams they stock nowadays but castle forbes is rather nice and they used to have that.
He has a strop already, there are some very nice strops at SRD too, but I think it's better to leave second and third strop buying to him.
P.S. I think I'm down to about 250-300 razors and I'm not really an outlier here.

Welcome aboard from Downunder
I think we might have a potential problem child here people, with a possible disposition to an AD (Acquisition Disorder) nothing to be ashamed of, there are a lot of us who have the same train of thought
"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MANY AND I NEED ALL OF THEM" we are only limited by budgets LOL
great you have found SRP & getting great advice before you got a product that was not worthy
also a note is you partner a member here? if so maybe try catch him on here then ask the questions like a side topic of whats he looking at or what he like
and if he isn't get him on here ASAP ( once you have your info of course ) he can only benefit from the wealth of information & help available on this great site.
you are a definite catch he is a lucky lad to have you.
Edit: disrgard the member question just read it LOL
but note do not post his razor here in a pick as he could be a silent lurker also. so I would suggest you PM it to one of the mentors to let you know what he actually has and a possible suggestion of size & grind etc for you

Thanked: 1160All razors shave pretty much the same. The price difference is generally due to the materials they are made of i.e expensive woods for scales, gold leafing and all that . Straight Razor Designs is our Founder and Lynn will put a fine ready to shave edge on your razor . They are experts and if you contact them with these questions they can have you up and running in no time. They do in fact offer one free honing when you purchase from them and that's after you expertly honed shave ready blade starts going dull. I bought a lower tier Dovo best quality from them and also a Dovo Special about maybe three or four years ago and they are great razors. As was said ,if you got the dough you have no worries and they will fix you up. That's my two bits. Cheers and Happy Holidays to you .

The Art Of Shaving sells wonderful colognes, soaps, and shaving creams. I would not purchase a S.R. From them. Over priced and it will not come "with a Real Shave Ready Edge. My suggestions are (if you purchase new go with a Ralph Aust from Straight Razor Design. If you want a vintage restored razor contact MyCarver. I listed his website in a previous post. Good Luck

+1 AoS Sandalwood is without a doubt one of the finest shave creams on today's market. Not quite as good as T&H but pretty close in my books.

I know...
Sure, everything is worth money, but most are worth to me more in my house than as money after I sell them. I used to sell a few but in the last few years have gotten too busy for that. But I haven't been buying new ones either so it's not bad.
