"if you ain't bleedin', you ain't learnin'" -me

Got the microscope, hooked it up to my Mac running Yosemite (64-bit), installed the software, and gave it a shot. Worked like a champ, able to capture a photo and save to file. Tomorrow, I'll capture each of my blades, so I have a baseline of the Dovo just pro sharpened, and the Boker with only 10 shaves on it. I also want to see how the Union Cutlery Spike looks with 40 shaves and only stropping. I also am curious to how the blade looks after Cr-Ox stropping.
Thanks so much for the suggestion for microscope!Regards,
PCM

Here is a stropped razor @200x without a big shiny secondary bevel . This goal in razor honing is to make the bevel disappear to the edge.
IMHO secondary bevels belong on knives & only on some of those.
A variety of pics here also:

The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
