Not counting knocking the head off the occasional blemish, once in awhile I'll give the ear a little nick with a spike point, but never had a real cut....unless I was shaving with the DD Goldedge...I've shaved with that blade 6 times, 4 times it cut me nicely on the cheek, 5th time I started to make a first pass and then thought better and grabbed a different razor, and a couple of weeks ago, did a 3 pass shave with it and called it even...it sits in a box now - forever.

Got myself on the neck today... That's what I get for trying to answer my daughter's question mid-shave!

Sometimes (1 out of 3) I get away with not one nick. Went for a dozen shaves without one and felt that I had graduated to a new level... and then had one to three nicks on every shave for 8 shaves! Lol ugh! I think a big factor is my level of calm... if I imagine myself as a samurai or a monk and go all Zen, then I do much better. Coffee makes me jittery so no.. and make sure the kids are not distracting me, that's a bad one! When I hear dad screamed from across the house that's a for sure nick!

Thanked: 0I can cut myself every other shave in some way. I use a tattoo ointment called hustle butter. Heals your skin almost Wolverine fast. Less scars for my mug these days.

Thanked: 220Honestly, once or twice every few shaves. I get cocky & fly through it sometimes, but I usually get taken down a notch!

Wish I didn't see this thread because as soon as I did I thought to myself that it has been awhile since I've cut myself, but now I know I am going to my next shave just because I thought that.

Thanked: 26Yep. I'm a couple months into SR shaving. The other day I was discussing this with my neighbor and he asked me how often I cut myself. I told him I haven't seen any blood in several weeks. Should have kept my big mouth shut, because the next morning I was doing extra touch up chasing BBS and touched down on my cheek while moving the razor lateraly. My worst cut yet. Not terribly deep, but about 2" long. I've had to shave around it the last couple days.

Thanked: 3226It's been good for a while but get over confident and the SR will bite. Touch wood no major bites so far. I do a 4 pass shave daily so chances are better than average that I'll get a cut but it's part of the game.

Got a little nick yesterday morning whilst attempting an XTG pass. Didn't feel anything until I saw the blood. Once dried, I saw a 1cm vertical cut. This morning I re-opened it using a DE.
