True silvertip badger has always been the benchmark because the Hairs are Hollow, they retain heat and water because of the hollow cores.
Is this better?? maybe so,maybe not.
An old trapper here to muddy the water: I was always taught that hair is solid, fur is hollow.

Shavemac and Thäter also makes some stellar brushes.
I value your opinion very highly; hence, I blame you for my recent purchase of a Plisson High Mountain White Badger Brush - size 10...you finally swayed my opinion, thanks - looking forward to giving it a try on Monday.

There is no "best" brushes for me because there is no "the best" for any kind in life.
From my little shaving experience i would be poorer if i didn't had my Omega Boars and my FS Black badgers.
Of course some brushes are better from the above in specific sectors but these are the "all around" winners for me.

Buying a brush has turned into a nightmare.
This Canadian company advertised the brush as Slivertip badger hair.
After visiting the Vie-Long web site I found that this brush is in fact white badger hair.

Years ago, I asked my Uncle who has since passed away; "Which HT should I buy" (HT, Ham Radio Term for Hand Held Transceiver, aka Handheld Radio)
He told me to go to "Ham Radio Outlet" and pick up several of the radio's that they had in stock. Look each of them over very closely. The one that feels good to you and you like is the best one to buy!
I would venture to say, that if you like a $1.98 Boar Brush or prefer a $2.95 Synthetic Brush or a $200.00 Rooney Shaving Brush. Then that's the best one YMMV !

There could be a language issue on the Spanish site. I see in their description of the brush they call it "two bands white badger hair". Could it be that they mean what we would call a "2 band silver tip" as opposed to a 3 band silver tip as displayed on their site under silver tip brushes. If that is the case they are both silver tip knots but with different characteristics. OTH I could and am likely wrong on what the grades of badger are called.

From what I can tell white badger hair is cheaper than silvertip .
If it isnt silvertip then im not interested in it.
After waiting 5 days for these people to dispatch it ,now I have to wait for it to do the customs bit, then return it and ask for my money plus custom charges and return postage and packaging.
Ill wait to see what they say, I have e mailed them.

Please you, just saying there can be many types of silver tip badger depending on what the manufacture wants to call it. Just an example Badger Brush Hair Grades | Wet Shaving Products . To me it is clear as mud when it comes to what is called silver tip. There seems to be no standardization.

this is supposed to be fun! Look at it this way....I have a face, and you have a face...they both could be great faces but like different brush feels....same is true with soaps, water, etc. I say just use a few until you think one is the best and it will be. Enjoy!

Are no standards for silvertip knots,You have the graet knots, the bad and downright trash.
Is all in how a brush is condstructed that makes a great brush, bore sizing, proper loft.
You can take the finest knot known to man,set at a 70mm loft and end up with the worst brush ever.
