How well would you say that a standard soap Puck (say TOBS Sandalwood) would fit it without melting? (I ask because the TOBS already has a rounded/half-sphere shape, and I am terrible at the double boiler.. I could just grate it, but how well does the dome of the TOBS or other soaps like it fit in?)

Here of some shots of my shave "den" at my new apartment. I hate the tiny sink, but I make do.
The pink toothbrush and the massive thing of lotion belong to the gf...

Here's the finished product. My new shave den shelf.

And finally, Mama's stuff back where it belongs.
Not too bad for $13.00 worth of lumber and a few evenings work.

Finished with one coat of polycrylic then buffed with 2000 grit emery.
