Sounds good. I had a few cups of one of the best Brazils I have ever had. Pedra Preta #3 Brazil COE (cup of excellence) winner. I managed to get 10 pounds in the green and have been savoring it but my reserve stash is coming to an end. This was hard to come by, a small microlot. I had seen it going for around $50 a half pound roasted, and it was worth it.
From one of the judges (BobY)
Brazil Fazenda Pedra Preta #3 COE Winner
Score: 92.24
This is the first time that the Coop has been a registered COE participant. We were teamed up with others to capture these lots. For these COE coffees, I'm going to defer to the descriptions of the 22 professional cuppers who comprised the jury at this competition. I personally cupped all 29 samples and this one was on my top 5 list. During the competition, the coffees were cupped a minimum of 5 times and the descriptions were agreed upon by up to 25 cuppers.
This coffee is Yellow Bourbon, pulped-natural-processed, and arrives to us in vacuum-sealed, foil bags to preserve its freshness. We have 100 lbs of this coffee. Curly has agreed to distribute this coffee as a Midwest Offering.
Jury Descriptions: perfectly balanced, strong body, complete, aroma matches the taste, long finish, velvety smooth mouthfeel, intense acidity with structure and spine, intense aroma, dark chocolate, sweet caramel, vanilla, plum, dried fruits, melon, jasmine-like floral, fruity, orange, buttery, lemon rose finish, elegant!!

My meager colection:
The brush in between the two safety razors was a flea market find, it has a swastika marking. The three brushes on the right are from left: no-name silvertip, Ever Ready pure badger, and one that has been used so much the name is worn off. It is the one I used back in the 80's when I first started shaving. The safety razor on the right is a Gillette Diplomat in very good condition.
My old shaving mirror, the box servess as storage for spare DE blades.
Dad bought this from an old guy back in the early 70's for 5.00. The old man told Dad that it had belonged to his Great Grandfather.

I really don't know, a friend gave me that mug because of my moustache.
I had a handlebar until I slipped with the straight, now I'm growing it back again lol.
I finally found a name on this brush, after looking with my jewelers loupe,
it was made for B. Altman & Co. It is a Best Badger. Dad said he got it in the late 60's and it was used then.Last edited by freebird; 04-24-2008 at 06:05 PM.

Peter! You have a lot of really nice brushes in there! Have you used them all?
For a second, I thought it was worse...the mirror threw me off.
