    Thanks Dave, and Tom.
Looking forward to testing them out before the #4 heads into the City for Andrew,,
Delighted to have an original rubberset in the kit, and with my favorite knot!
Still waiting on my nib order, so the cmon and duck brush projects are on the back burner for now..

Made one more mold of the 3 before I glued in the knots as well. Wanted to try someing different around the bottom..

I realized while handling them the reason the shavemac double densitys are transparent base, it's because the hairs go right to the bulb base outer edge, hence the double density. The epoxy base typical of these knots allow a bit of edge space between the hair and the glue, the doubles do not. Not sure if it equals twice as much hair as they claim, but certainly over 60% more hair easily is added around the outermost edges of the knot.
Just sharing some musings at the end o the day...
Just got back from a nice dinner with the family, and Mike has revealed another B-Day surprise!!!

Mike, once again, killer job on the brushes, had a shave with the Walleyman brush you re-knotted before dinner, and to see that 400 packed with Shavemac heavy metal badger...what a great way to finish the evening.

And you got the molds...the one's I was holding at the meet, fooled me when I first saw them, until you actually picked them up, they looked like the real deal, and as you mentioned, little weight in the handle, and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
