The worst time of the year to be sick.....so my sympathies for anyone who succumbs...surprised no one has offered some homestyle cures. Here is one I heard in a casino where time off meant no money and people would work sick and dig up old cures.....so, for the runs.....mix ground nutmeg with mashed potatoes.....nutmeg is a mild hallucinogen if taken in large quantities....this is something like a tablespoon for a cup of mashed potatoes. It sort of depends on your system but you might be shitting through the eye of a needle at 8 feet or that could be a hallucination and something will be running down your leg....or it could bind everything up.....will do nothing for the fever though.....hoping this is over for both of you before Christmas.

Oh and buckets might help if multiple cases erupt. Placement is the key here.

and 32T just drink a bottle of Jack Black and get under 5 blankets. Might wanna lay on something moisture absorbing.
Either you have a very good eye, or you read my post in the dog thread, yes she is a Brittany
the buckets work for vomit, not sure about bottom vomit - too much risk of splash back.
The frequency of trips is dropping, but besides if my 30 mins was a standard across the afflicted and provided we could get our timings right we would get 10 mins each on constant rotation.

Bill, I thought you were going to suggest using the mash mix as a sort of cement.....

Ed, try powerade, or one of those electrolyte replacement drinks. Real good if you have had an attack of the screamin shytes.

Yeah, a breakfast of coffee and Vegemite on toast probably wasn't the best idea. When my daughter had gastro the other week (she was vomiting for a few days) we mixed sugar and salt into water because we didn't have anything else, I read that plain water is actually not a lot of good for people who are ejecting fluids because you can't absorb it without the electrolytes, the article said that even cordial or really diluted juice is better.

Teaspoon of cement mate. That's all you need Ed. And I recently found out the hard way about Nutmeg being a drug. I put a tad too much in my morning smoothie when the lid came off. I couldn't scoop it out as it was all mixed in wit everything else, so I thought, "What harm could it possibly do?! It's just nutmeg. It might just be real strong nutmeggy taste." Well hello happy days! That was a real bloody interesting trip!

When our shaving brothers are sick as dogs (or more sick than Ed's dog who does not appear to be sick at all) it is probably not the time to say how good your life is. Having said that: Deck the halls with bowels of .........
