    Enough of this nonsense - It is a scientific fact that the whole is equal to the sum of the parts. Since a hole is the absence of matter, then the whole hole contains nothing. Since it is also a scientific fact that nothing is equal to nothing, then by corollary, a hole, whole or otherwise, is still equal to nothing, and therefore does not exist.

    Thank goodness science was able to clear this up (shamelessly referencing another thread).
