That's unfortunate for him, but may actually be good for your team. He's one of those weird strikers who never, ever seems to score. At least for his club side - maybe things are different for him on the national team?

I had to come and go while watching so I didn't see the whole match, but it looked like another pretty good one. Congrats to the USA on sticking with it to the end. It was looking ominous for a while there until that second goal.

Shame to see Ghana lose though. I was hoping they would get through at least to the knockout stages, but that will be hard now.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

That game will always stay with me. Those were the days. Sepp Maier, Berti Vogts, Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, Jan Jongbloed, Arie Haan, Ruud Krol, Johan Neeskens, Johnny Rep, Johan Cruyff, Rob Rensenbrink,.... just to name a few. Remember Neeskens. He could hit a ball like a tornado. Loeihard as they say in Dutch. So many memories (emotional) but I agree, this FIFA 2014 has been outstanding so far.

Ah, those names bring back memories!
I played football my entire childhood, and I was always a goaltender.
Sepp Maier was God to me back then!
    And the free-kicks by Rensenbrink.
Wow, they should have called the recent movie bend it like Rensenbrink, not Beckham

Must say I was a little taken by the Brazil vs Mexico match. Mexico put up a good fight.

Congrats Holland and Australia for making such a great game. Although i was all for Holland, i was sorry to see Aussies to lose for such an vacuum cleaner 3-2 goal. Cahill was great (but so was Robben too).

AUS - NED I dropped everything I was doing to fully watch this game. Nail biting game at times. Kudos to the Aussies but the Dutch just had that bit more experience and team spirit.
