You may not like the Kardashians, but in a popularity vote vs Paris Hilton, they'll win everytime, because they have the exposure, who knows which is more worthy? (and who cares???). Is it the same over there, or is it too close to call?
    I'll try again

Not one "Expert" since this all started with Trump has called it right...

So speculation about any outcome is pretty much a joke at this point in time, even when it come to the Primaries let alone the General.
Iowa then New Hampshire will give us a little bit of real data next week, and even that might mean nothing for Left or Right

We have Sanders bumping Clinton right now on the left which less then a month ago was "Not Going to Happen" according to all the "Experts"

This election cycle is tossing the rules out

It may not be my country, but the decision you guys make effects the rest of the world. While he is undoubtably a great businessman, I worry that once he gets into international politics he will show the same 'bull-at the-gate' approach that turned people off Reagan and Bush. I reckon his IQ is probably double that of the three previous Republican Presidents combined and I feel that all those Presidents lacked the true statesmanship shown by Clinton and Obama. That said, I am neither Democratic, nor Republican. My personal feeling on politics is that we, the citizens, are the prey caught between two predators and we play a balancing game designed to keep either side from devouring us. In the words of someone who's name escapes me, 'The citizens of a State are like the residents of a prison, except that every three to five years they are given the opportunity to vote on who their captors will be for the next three to five years and the decisions they make justify their imprisonment in the first place.' So, current US politics, what do you think?
Statesman - Clinton - surely an oxymoron. (With the emphasis on the second syllable).
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

    Clinton.

On the republican side I don't see how the numbers can add up to a win; a Rubio/Bush - Kasich ticket should get them Florida and Ohio i.e. the presidency, but that's extremely unlikely given the present state of the party.

Not really, big picture has been the same as always if you look at it and not get caught in the silliness of general punditry.

One thing about a long election cycle like the US has is that it allows things like there being enough time for Sanders bumping Hillary to happen. Then there is the long run up to the actual National vote after the long run up to the Primaries.

We normally have a short election cycle of about 30 days from when the Writ is dropped and the National vote done. This last time for some reason the ruling party chose to go long and that was enough time for the wheels to fall off their run and all that happened in 70 odd days.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings and there is a long time to go till that happens in the US.

My post, as stated, is from a neutral position. There have been great statesmen on both sides of the divide in the history of US politics. To try and decide who was the best President between Truman and Eisenhower would be nonsense, both men faced different problems at different times. My point about Clinton and Obama being good statesmen has more to do with their sensitivity and knowledge of, and to, other cultures rather than it does to their ability to lead the US to a better future for the US. My question isn't which delegate will make the best President, time will tell us that. What I want to know is, who do Americans think will win? Over here, all we hear about is Trump. Hillary makes the news occasionally, but most of the exposure aimed at the neutral brigade (let's say 80% of Aussies) definitely goes to Trump.
Nothing contradicting in my statement, if you,ve ever read my responses I have no problem saying what's on my mind, usually with some blunt words. And I'll debate politics with anyone, anytime if they can take my view on the candidates view or philosophy, but as I suggested only in the net rest of not causing some harsh words in this forum, it might be best as apparently we've already taken shots at this candidate in satire or in words. This is always a very heated battle by the time it gets going well. Now as to the exposure in other countries who knows? Who will make the best president, no one who is running. My opinion. Tc

No tape, of course. You don't have to learn it the hard way like Nixon.

In the U.S some of our worst Presidents were big shot businessmen. Many folks think being a business mogul makes you a candidate for being a great president however the skills are 180 degrees different.

If you want a great example check out Herbert Hoover and how he dealt with the economic collapse in 1929.
