Dave, I know this is supposed to be 'Wordless' but I can't help myself--
My friend just sent this to me. My friend is on the Right and his old, old friend from Texas is on the Left. It was taken after a performance by his old friend in Tuscan AZ.

We had that--seems that odorous house ants are immune.
Those yellow specks are 'Advance 375' which many of them are taking home. It will kill from the inside out. It's interesting as there are two distinct 'caravans' carrying the Advance as they are heading in opposite directions which confirms that it's two colonize fighting over territory.
Advance is great stuff. It's a protein base and is usually what the ants want however I also use Maxforce gel which is a sweet base if they aren't packing off the Advance.

Yea we had that 'application' for several months--in fact set a record for snowfall in just February
