I spent many years as a special constable in the UK (reserve police officer US?). I arrested a driver for failing a breathalyser test. In the UK suspects have the right to have a blood sample taken for independent analysis if they fail an evidential breath test. This particular guy was nasty and gave everyone, including the police appointed doctor, a hard time. I can still remember the doctor smiling and telling me he used the biggest bluntest needle he had in his kit to take the blood sample.

My nephew was a medic in the Canadian Army and from the sounds of it similar was meted out to the same type of persons there too.

Well today was the day. The day I got my second installation of the Pfizer vaccine. It's been about 3 hours and so far so good. No redness or soreness in the arm. Also no temperature, headache or other symptoms that the paper lists as possible side effects.

I hope the path continues just like it has.

Starting Tuesday MN is vaccinating everyone 16+. Not easy to find open spots though.

Nice one Roy. From the people I've spoken to those that have had the Pfizer they have had little side effects but those who have had the Astrazeneca have felt pretty rough.

While the Covid 19 was still spreading in the facility nobody needed to go to the hospital for treatment or be put on a ventilator.

I think it also points out that even after having a second dose those immunised should continue with all the usual Covid 19 precautions as they may still be able to spread the infection. Looks like it will not be until some time after the population of a country has enough people vaccinated to reach herd immunity, 80%?, will/should the usual precautions be lifted. That won't make a lot of people happy.

One person I know that had been vaccinated still got covid.

One big thing is that he had less of a reaction than the others around him.

That was good and everyone related was fine but it shows that the vaccine is not a cure or 100% effective.

As my son and I were discussing none of the vaccines claim to be 100%. I find that the Pfizer is 95%, the Moderna is 94.1 and the J&J is only 72%.

If by chance I'm part of the 5% I do hope that at least the symptoms will be lessoned ,

From what I have read, the vaccines may not prevent you from getting infected but you could be asymptomatic or if you have symptoms they will be much.

That's my understanding as well. Main thing they claim is preventing serious infection and need for hospitalization. Will see. We are still wearing full PPE, PAPR for me when I go in the Covid+ rooms. Not taking any chances.
I googled moderna yesterday since my wife is gonna be getting vaccinated on Friday and came across an article from Utah.
